What is DiSC?

The theory of 4 personality types was initiated in the 1920’s by William Moulton Marston, an American psychologist, and continued to evolve throughout the 20th century. The initial work done by Marston was later adapted and expanded by various psychologists and theorists. The modern DiSC Personality Assessment as we know it today was created in the 1970s by John Geier, a psychologist and researcher. Geier built upon Marston’s foundational work and created a simplified model that categorized people into four primary personality types, directly linked to behavior.

Since then, the DiSC Personality Assessment has evolved into one of the most widely used and respected tools in personal and professional development.
